The Nadur Local Council will be organising its’ annual and popular Carnival activities which attracts visitors from all over Gozo and Malta.
These activities begin with the Miss Queen Carnival Competition, which is being held this coming Saturday, the 11th of February 2012 at the MBC Theatre at 7:30pm.
On Sunday, the 12th of February there will be a Carnival Parade and show featuring costumes, dances and floats at St. Peter & St. Paul Square beginning at 1:30pm. This event will end with a traditional “Kukkanja.”
In anticipation of the Spontaneous Carnival that will take place in Nadur beginning on Friday, the 17th of February and ending on Tuesday, the 21st of February, the Local Council would like to inform participants that as in the previous years Carnival floats (karrijiet) are not to be excessively large and no larger than an average transit van (in width, height and length). Floats are to be pushed manually and not by any type of motor. This is in order to prevent injuries.
